Ya, it does. I replied to him on his thread, maybe he'll read this one.

Mine, it usually only did it in the morning about 2 miles out. However the day I went to get the solenoid it did it at least 15 miles out at 70 mph. So it was good and warm. As I stated earlier, the SM replaced the vale at the same time so I do not know if I only needed the check valve.

so I ended up changing out the vacuum check valve on the recommendations of a few guys on another forum and have not had an issue for close to a week now. That said i'm still taking the truck in to have the IWE/Hubs checked to make sure that there is not a bunch of damage from the grinding.

I still go back to why all of a sudden so many? Is this a bad batch of a $10 part, or is the new 3.5EB engine and the start/stop somehow stressing this part more then they thought?

In my case, I don't think the start/stop had anything to do with it. First thing I do after startup is to turn that "feature" off. When the engine does shutdown at a stop, the check valve should go closed, and vacuum to the IWE system would be maintained by the vac in the reservoir.
It would seem that after 2 generations at least with these systems, Ford should have been investigating a cure.
Now, on my '12, with the same system, I never had a problem in over 5 years.

Nope didn't re-read the whole thread every time I came here. Hell I was the second person to post in this thread, with you being the original poster.

I spent 3 months on about 4 different forums and google trying to figure this out and got mixed up on the threads.

One thing I did notice about the replacement check valve (same part number as yours and bought from Amazon) is that the inlet (black side) has a bigger diameter than the outlet (white side) when compared to original one.

I'm still trying to figure out what IWE means.
