i picked up my truck on a friday and first thing i did was take it on a trip.. about 185 miles each way. I got 19 mpg on that trip. honestly i was pretty happy with that. but after that it dropped to 17. installed k and n and still got only 17. i still only have a little over 6K on truck and dont look for it to get better until around 20k.

That is pretty crappy mileage unless you are at the drag strip every night. My '07 Lariat 5.4 gets anywhere from 16.1 to 16.9. (The dash display tells me this)

Of course I drive like a sane person and always...always drive like there is an egg under the gas and brake pedal. One time "puttin' your foot in it" will take that mileage good figure and drop it like a prom dress.

I have a 98 2wd 4.6 with a 5 speed, k&n, flowmaster super 44 muffler and 146,xxx miles. In the city i get about 18 on adverage(spelling) but as low as 11. On the highway I get about 22.

I get around mid 13's city have alot of mountains were I live. Highway I've had as high as 20 but more often then not it's a around 17-18 even towing a bassboat and luggage in the bed on a recent trip I still averaged around 14-16 which I'm real happy with I came from a Dodge ( finally saw the light) and I was lucky to get 11 around town and 13 on highway and I'm not heavy on the pedal

'05 Screw with 5.4 auto and I get 15-18. Just depends on how hard I drive it. I have aftermarket exhaust, and fixing to install Flex-a-lite dual fan setup. Will be doing intake soon after then sct. I will post more when the mods go on.

Best I got was 19.9, second best 18.9; no highway 13. 2000 Lariat Supercab 5.4 tow package.

I have an '07 5.4L FFI 4x4 Supercab and I get about 15-17 miles but that's taking it easy on the gas pedal and with a K&N replacement for the stock air filter.

how many miles can u go when the low fuel light comes on? i have a 26 gal tank and everyitme i fill up it only lets me fill up 19 to 20 gals so is that other 6 my reserve tank?
