Here's my experience....... looking for a newer truck like yourself. What I decided was that I could get a more upscale trim level about 5 years old with a ton of miles for what I was willing/able to spend. What I wound up doing was getting a brand new '16 XL super cab FX4. For me, this truck had everything I wanted and more. Best part, new truck out the door for $29,005. My initial concern was that at that price, I was only going to get the 2.7 EB. Then I took the test drive! Except for the sound, you'll never know it's "only" a 2.7. I freaking love this truck. Take one for a drive and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at the value of this truck.

Hope this is helpful for you in evaluating the options.

Forgot to add, I have the 40/20/40 front bench and 60/40 rear bench. The center seat converts to a console when the back is folded down.

Thanks polar bear. I tend to agree with your logic. I'd much rather have a newer, lower mileage truck with less options. As I said before, I don't need my truck to be fancy. I'm going to treat it as a truck, so no reason to bring it out, per say. Now, it's doubtful I'll find brand new, but I'm pretty confident I can get a 14+ in my price range.
