Function failures after battery disconnect
I have a 2 month old 2024 XLT with Powerboost. This weekend I installed an aftermarket bed lighting kit that connects via the high mounted 3rd tail light. Part of the installation was to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery- which I did. When I came to the part that requires removing a bolt on a grounding point behind the rear seat to attach the new light ground wire, after several turns the eye terminal became loose and started to spark. I then noticed that the cabin lights were on. I checked to make sure the ground cable had not somehow managed to touch the negative battery terminal but it hadn't.
I finished the install and the lights work as advertised. This morning when I turned the truck on- I got 3 warning messages that the cross traffic and 2 other warning systems did not initialize. THEN- when I tried to roll down the driver and passenger front windows- neither would operate. The 2 rear windows work fine.
Is there another ground connection that I missed that was back feeding this circuit?? Does the EV battery also feed power to the circuits?
Did I give the computer in my oversized cellphone with wheels a current zing that caused the windows and warning systems to not come on line??
Any insights would be appreciated.

You have to do a recalibration of the auto windows. Hold it down until its all the way down, and hold for another 5-10 seconds, same going up.
Probably a few more. All of the issues should iron out after a few drives.

There is a small aux battery that would also have needed disconnecting. Whatever ground was disconnected may be shared with the power windows and I'm sure many other systems. It's possible that re doing the procedure but verifying all 12v power is gone and then re connecting the batteries could solve the issue. Or as another person said recalibration of affected systems may be necessary.
