Hi performance engines. Yes, Ford assumes people who drive their high performance vehicles are going to be a lil heavy on the throttle.

Like I said earlier ... I think maybe some of these street racers aren't exactly sure how internal combustion engines work.

We're talking an ecoboost here, not a N/A motor. I respectfully disagree with the statement that no blowby means the motor was broken in correctly. A turbocharged motor should always have blowby, especially after a YEAR of operation. Otherwise I would begin to think the turbos are not operating at optimal boost levels. Certainly the amounts may vary based on how well the rings seat, but there should be something there. I think it's misleading to the OP to say there is no issue with his CC setup when it should be catching something over this amount of time. Aside from blowby, it has been discussed many times that the early ecos suffer from condensation issues which arise from the recirculaton of hot PCV vapors on a cold motor, or many short trips. If the volatiles don't condense in a CC, they will condense back into the oil, in the intercooler, etc.

Best bet is to contact Geoff at Full Race and see what's going on with your setup. They are really nice folks to work with.

Meh, this topic is even beat to death on the Mustang forums. People are either hardcore for or against them. I have one on my 600 rwhp Mustang and empty about 4 teaspoons every oil change. Would a NA car need one..much less I'm sure. Would a daily driver Truck need one...maybe not. I've yet to be convinced it would do more harm than good.

I also thought an NA motor wouldn't have issues, but after reading numerous threads on the S197 site, I know better. The Mustang crowd does a lot of intake swaps, what they found was plenty of gunk on the inside of the intake they were removing. The 5.0 motor is known for this..

Yeah, I had to remove both wiper engines when the battery in my wife's Escape went bad.

Motors are electric, engines breath fire.
