1965 I had a 1955 chevy 2 dr hardtop and the first self service gas station opened in town across the street from a coop. They had a gas war with gas going down from 29.9 cents down to 9.9 cents per gl. I could cruise all night for a dollar. Those really were the good old days.

I'm gonna guess he's in the Houston area. I live just outside of Houston and we have the same kind of pricing right now. It's nice to be able to fill up for $43ish.

Been filling up for $1.949 for about two months, before that it was $1.899...


...but that's on E30 with the MN corn subsidies. Oddly, I get the same mileage as with E10, so I'm taking it as a tax cut vs E10 at $2.459

It's around $2.35 here, but I'd need it to be $1.50 for my average fill up to be $43!!

It is close to that here in East Tennessee, I paid 2.059 at Exxon yesterday.
