Default Should I "blow it"?

I have a stock 05 xlt super cab street boss with the 5.4. This truck is a normal xlt with some badges, grill, and wheels. The only thing I have done is lowered the rear 2". I would like to put a supercharger on it to make it more fun to drive. Should I and can I do it for a reasonable price with out messing with the motor?

Thanks!

Yes, you should supercharge it. What is a reasonable price to you?

I'm thinking about putting one on my 07 scab 4x4. Roushcharger with Troyer tunes. As far as I can tell the stock 5.4 should be able to make 450 +/- rwhp safely and the stock drivetrain should be able to support it. What's a reasonable price?

There is also the Whipple to look into and others.

Subscribed! This is something I'm strongly considering later in the trucks life.

Check out f150online.com . They have a section devoted to superchargers. Some of the members have some badass fast trucks.

I would love to start out with less then 3k. I know I would eventually need it tuned and some exhaust . But I would have a friend do the rough install for me then take it to a shop for a tune.

Your gonna want an intercooled system and thats gonna run you $5500-$6500. Don't forget that you will also have to run on 93 Octane
