What do YOU carry in the truck at this time of year
I always have extra cold weather hat, gloves, sox and heavy coat. emergency rations, water. candles fire starters. shovel, axe, firearm. tarp.
because I live on the edge of town, we have deer, bear, mountain lion elk wandering around here its not like downtown CHICAGO , D.F.W. or SEATTLE. Out of town and you are IN THE BOONIES so best be prepared.I also carry duct tape, anti freeze, oil, fanbelt and tools. lots of areas where cell phones will not work. being retired, while out and about,i may take a notion to head up an old logging road or visit a favorite mountain view. being prepared has saved this old pharts *** and folks I have met more than once.

End of the Earth
Cold weather boots, snow pants, gloves, hat, socks, some Under Armour long johns and long sleeve. Space blanket, hand warmers, feet warmers, fire starters, multiple flash lights, knives/machete, folding army shovel, collapsible shovel (scoop), duct tape, electrical tape, tarp, jug of De-icer washer fluid, oil, small jug of anti-freeze, two 70lb sand tubes, d-rings, tow straps, recovery straps, and of plenty of tools. Bottle of ONR at QD ratio for cleaning lights and wipers. Only bring food and water if I know I'm leaving town. Also, always keep the gas tank at least half full.
Most of this stuff stays in my truck year round except for the scoop shovel, sand, and winter clothes. Never know when you're going to get stuck and how long you'll be stuck for.

Unique & Different
Like others have mentioned. I keep all kinds of stuff year round. Changes of clothes, blanket, non-perishable foods, flashlight, tools, water, rain gear, etc, etc and the list goes on.

I always have my box in the back that has a spade, tow ropes, blanket etc. One thing I try and leave in the back most of the time is some good winter steel toe boots. Sometimes I need them though so they end up in the house
