2007 F150 Reading VID Block info ..Can FORScan do this?
Hi All,
I have P1639 active on my F150 (2007 MY). Aside from taking it to a dealer or someone with big $$ Programming tools, am I able to read/modify this As-Built information using FORScan?
It was active when I bought it, with the MIL active.
No other issues with the vehicle, the seller (dealer) mentioned something about it being chipped, and that this may have bought up this code. Anyway, the price was OK so I was happy to play around with working on resolving the issue.
So far, I have lots of resets, and tried everything that I could think of to access this AB data, just to be able to compare it to the downloaded As-built from Mortorcraft Service site...but no luck yet.
I purchased the USB ELMConfig from ohp with the MS/HS CAN switch, but it reads the same as the Bluetooth Vgate (V1.5). No additional information, and only As-Built info for the ICM, and ABS.
Is this all I should be expecting? I was hoping that I would be able to compare the As-built info to confirm it was all OK.
Appreciate any responses, good news or bad news.
Cheers

Hey guys! thanks for the wealth of knowage! I didnt think i would even need to approach the forum as most questions have been delt with! However with driving my new 2018 Plaitnum 5.0 for just about 900 KM now I wanted to know a couple things.
is there a checksum value that can be modified for lane keep assist to engage at a slower speed? and or increase the power it applies to be less passive?
also any movement on the mirror spot lights being able to turn on at any speed?

Trading in my 2015 lariat for a 2018. Engine blew up at 49,000KM, replaced rad at 30k something....scared of what else might happen. The new one is a lariat as well and in Canada (Not sure about the US) only the king ranch and above has the sync (ford) connect. I am curious if the new 2018sync (ford) connect can be enabled using forscan such that the attached modem (I believe there is one attached otherwise how can there be a hotspot that drives off my phone) looks outwards and can handle its own data plan. Thoughts?
