You will need an OBDLink connector that you can get off of Amazon, but read through the above before purchasing anything.

does this void void warranty at all??

I haven’t heard of anyone having a problem.. My dealers don’t even notice that my mirrors fold when locking the truck, so chances of them noticing that the gages have numbers over them is slight.

How long does it take to get approved for forscan. I've had my truck apart since Wednesday swapping led lights just to be told I have to reprogram. So I bought the tablet and the obd link listed on this thread. Amazon delivered today. I've registered but apparently have to be approved. Can I expect to get approved on a Saturday evening? How long?

It should take less than a week.

Hi everyone. Currently I see 72 pages and 716 messages (I will be 717). I don't have the time to read through all tonight ... re: lazy ...
I just helped my Junior High (grade 7 here in Canada) son buy a Chromebook, for homework.
Is a Google Chromebook OS capable of handling/running Forscan ?
I am over 50 and technology is not a friend, to me

ForScan needs windows. It will not work on Chromebooks.

Chromebooks are kinda a weird thing too. For the same $$$ you can buy a touch screen dell with windows 10. I still don't know why people go for chromebooks.

Thank-you tommyboy180.
About $70 cheaper than the Dell.
Because its a recommendation through the school board. Hopefully its a security issue, making a proprietary working platform that is safe and secure (closed loop), for the kids and us parents.
I know nothing is perfectly secure, from the no-good-knicks, of the world ... but this is "my theory" about why.

I managed to accomplish my first FORScan mod today using my old MacBook running Windows 10 through Parallels.
I did the hyper flashing change for The rear tail lights. Relatively simple even for a newb. I had trouble getting to the final screen to actually make the change under BCM. I’m still not sure what I clicked on to get there finally. After you click on the microchip icon and all the different modules load what is the next click to make changes in the BCM or APIM.
I’ve studied the spreadsheet for the Climate Control in the APIM to make the controls appear on the Sync screen but I’m not positive about what values to put where. Truck is a2018 XLT Sport with single zone heating and no HD radio.
Thanks
