Does anybody know if you can shut off the way the A/C compressor will cycle on and off constantly so that the temperature at the vents will stay constant on a hot summer day?

These alternator and compressor cycling on / off "features" are driving me nuts.

Removing most of the refrigerant from the system is one way, maybe changing the pulley size..

If it's working right it will cycle based on the evaporator temperature to keep the evaporator from freezing up. This is normal however if it is cycling all the time even before the temp in the cabin drops then you could have a low charge causing the compressor to cycle because it's bouncing off of the low pressure switch. Likewise you could have an overcharge or restriction in the system causing too much head pressure and the compressor could be bouncing off of the high side switch but this is much less likely than the low charge scenario. Either way its nothing you will address with Forscan.

What I'm referring to is the way that these truck cycle the compressor on and off and you can watch the temperature go up and down at the vents inside the truck. Many guys have posted this. It does not seem to be the case with other brands of truck.

I thought the compressor ran till it hit the height pressure switch turn off pressure and then started up again when it triggered the low pressure switch. Along with the evaporator temp switch shut off..

Which my tongue in cheek advise to remove refrigerant was to keep it from ever hitting the high pressure cutoff and the low temp evaporator switch.. As it wouldn't cool for **** so would never shut off the compressor.

I don't notice this with my auto temp truck..

For instance: the 13 is designed to have the evap coil operate between 36-38 degrees. So you can imagine with that tight a range, there is going to be a lot of on and off.

Default Center Jump Seat Air Bag Sensor

I recently removed the front jump seat on my 2016 F150 to install a center console. Will I be able to disable the airbag alert with Forscan?

Thanks,

Vic

Is your truck a SCrew? If you pm me your VIN # I'll pull your as-built values for RCM and pm you some changes.
