FordPass Rewards Redemption

Has anyone successful redeemed their points for parts/accessories? I dropped my truck off this morning to have a trailer brake controller installed. I asked the service guy if I could use the points for the parts and he said no. He told me to ask their parts department about using them for floor mats or other accessories... I asked them and they told me it can only be used for parts that the service department orders for the truck and cannot be used for floor mats.

Is that truly the case? I read online that it can be used for parts and accessories. If I need to talk to a different dealer, I will.

Talk about mumbo-jumbo. I like Ford, but a bunch of college-educated nerds must have thought Ford Pass up.

Probably the same group that thought it was a great idea to have Microsoft develop a Vehicle Info System.

Anyway, here is the official version of the rules you asked about. Is it vague, or am I just stupid?

b. EARNING POINTS

FPR allows Members to earn FordPass Rewards Points. To earn FordPass Rewards Points, you must have an active and valid FPR membership at the time you engage in any FPR activity.

FordPass Rewards Points can be earned through multiple different activities, including the purchase of Ford, Motorcraft, or Omnicraft parts, and any associated labor from a Participating Dealer, as well as through use of FordPass and other Ford-related activities. Points will not be awarded for paid taxes and fees. Click here for more information about qualifying activities to earn and redeem FordPass Rewards Points.

FordPass Rewards Points will be deposited into a FPR Account within 10 days of the qualifying transaction.

FordPass Rewards Points are not transferrable.

c. REDEEMING POINTS

FordPass Rewards Points can be redeemed for various items from Ford, used towards the purchase of a vehicle, for discounts on service, parts or accessories at any participating Dealer, or for any other rewards as determined by Ford ( collectively, “Rewards”).

Points will be subtracted from your FPR Account balance immediately upon completion of the redemption transaction. Rewards may be subject to additional terms and conditions, such as expiration dates or restrictions on use. Each sweepstakes is subject to its own official rules, eligibility and participation criteria. Once redeemed, Points cannot be refunded or returned to you.

d. POINTS VALUE

FordPass Rewards Points do not have any cash value. Points are only a measurement of a member’s activities in FPR and are not considered the property of the owner. Points are not redeemable for cash, check, or any other form of credit. The list of Rewards, the number of Points required for a Reward, and the structure of FPR may be modified by Ford at any time.

Here is the link to the complete mumbo-jumbo terms. Geez! OP, the links in the quote above work, tell us what you figured out from them. Good luck.

Thank you so much! I called another dealer in my metro and they pretty much told me the other dealer is full of crap. Everything does have to be done by the service department, however it can be used for ANYTHING Ford.

So I'm not totally stupid. Apparently that other dealer could not figure out FordPass either.

Glad it worked out for you.
