Ok ... so. I'm just gonna say it. I absolutely LOVE my truck, but I think I "hate" the ford logo as much as I love my truck. (puts on nomex suit).

Don't get me wrong ... I dig the oval shape ... but I just think that having the name written out is beyond outdated-ness. Basically every other company now has some kind of "icon" logo, not their name written out. I love the idea of the cool "icon" representing the other companies, and WISH ford would do the same.

That said, even if they just got rid of the big "blue egg" on the back of my truck and had the name "FORD" indented into the bed I'd be thrilled ... they USED to do that. I dont know why they stopped.


So, anyone else wish the actual "logo" was different?

Why not have the ford logo either blacked out or instead of blue oval make the logo the color of the vehicle or just come up with a newer design

the blue color doesn't bother me at all, but a "color matched" logo would be sweet for each truck/car.

I was just focusing on the word "ford" written out instead of some sort of symbol. Even if it was just an "F" in the middle of the blue oval, that would be a start.

Granted, I'm not saying I'd use that particular font ... but you get the idea

I love the Ford logo. A prime example of a successful American corporation that's proud of it's history. Sometimes, my truck stays dirty for two weeks, but I make sure the Ford logo is clean.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of a symbol that's been around since 1907. It would be like the Yankees getting rid of pinstripes, or Coke Changing their formula.

For me, yes also to the number 3 picture of the tailgate emblem.
When I was a kid, we used to call this one a "Fancy Ford" due to the written lettering used.
This was back in the early '50's. Just brings back some fine memories of the F1's that were before the F100's and also before the F150's.

By no means am I suggesting that the existing ford logo go away. I'm just saying that what they show on the vehicles they produce could be different.

Maybe it didn't come across well enough in my first post, but I love my ford vehicles, and am a very proud ford owner, and have been for quite a while. I just think that aesthetically, the ford logo is lacking. That's why I suggested that at least on the tailgate they go back to the word FORD indented into the body instead of the "blue egg".
