I like the oval, I just don't care for it being placed dead center on the tailgate. Looks a little tacky, and put there without much thought. I think it looks much better on the lower right corner. I miss the indented "FORD" on the tailgate myself, but not sure how it would look on the current body style.

Love the Ford V8 tailgate, but the EcoBoost guys would be SOL.

A Ford V6 in the same format could look good too.

I like my small emblem in the lower right of the tailgate much better than the large one in the center. But it would look cool to have it indented on the tailgate like the classics had. I also like the classic V8 design.

I'm thinking of removimg the blue Ford ovals and replacing them with the red Peterbilt ovals. I saw an F150 recently that had them. Looked like a perfect swap.

1. it isn't a bowtie
2. Ford didn't take government money to save itself, i'll proudly advertise for them (even though I've had issues with my truck, still love it)

I like that the symbol ties our trucks all the way back to 100 years of history ... too much good stuff from the past is lost and forgotten.

and let's call it what it is, it's TAXPAYER money, there is no such thing as "government" money..
