Is Ford going to adopt a "Double Cab" and get rid of the suicide doors?

I like my Supercab and I really like the fold flat rear doors. I have a coworker with a '14 or '15 Ram extended cab with the forward half doors on the back. They are really no better than mine except when in a really tight parking spot. But the room in the back is horrible. If they went with forward doors but kept the space with a B-pillar then I'd be ok with it.
My Supercab complaint is with putting the front seatbelts on the rear doors. It's annoying when I want to let someone in the back out. I have to unbuckle to open the rear door.

Suicide doors and an 8" box work great for farm use. As others have mentioned already, lots of room to access the back jump seats and if I head to town I just park a little further away if I need to load the back seat. A full screw with 8" box is just way too long of a truck (if anyone still offers them for sale) but the scab allows me to lock up a chain saw or perhaps bring the dog along. Same could be said by putting a cab on the back but much of what I haul would require it to be removed regularly. You can add me to the "like the doors as is" pile.

The SCREW hasn't had an 8ft bed in at least recent decades, maybe ever. That's what you get an F250+ for since it actually has the payload to handle filling a bed that size.

I've owned trucks with 5', 5.5', 6.6' and 8' beds. I still haven't run across anything that I couldn't put in a 5.5' bed that I could fit in a 6.5' bed. I need the tailgate down and ratchet straps with either for big stuff. If it won't fit the 5.5' bed then give me an 8' bed. The tighter turning radius is more important to me on the Screw.
I drove an 02 Screw for several years and when I no longer needed the room drove a 4 door Tacoma for many years. When I decided to go back to a full size I seriously considered the supercab/ extended cab configuration to save money. A regular cab just wouldn't work for me.
The regular opening doors on Dodge and Chevy give the appearance of having a lot of room in the back, but they don't. The Ford Scab has just as much, maybe more room and the suicide doors probably account for that. I think it also helps keep costs down as well.
The Tundra DC with the smaller rear seat has the most room and comfort for that cab configuration. After a very positive experience driving Tacoma I looked hard on going that route. But I was looking at 2012-2014 used trucks and never found a Tundra that met my needs. The 2014 Screw I ended up with works well for me.

The SCAB is one of the reasons I went with Ford. Wanted the extra seating in as small a cab size as possible. Love that the doors fold flat against the box, love having no pillar.

scab looks better suicide, and as other have stated there is more room to maneuver stuff in the back. I hope Ford keeps it for a while although I don't plan on buying a new truck anytime soon.....

2014 and prior doors open 90 degrees. 2015+ open 180 degrees. Big difference.

All this talk about tight parking spots... Freaking me Out! Why would you ever put your truck in that situation.? lol I never had that issue, I always park as far as away from civilization that I can, Take up 2 parking spots. Or park on a end where only 1 possible car could maybe park next to me if they really want to walk that far. LOL..
I have my wife doing the same!
