Default Ford factory loading ramps

hi. New to the site and bought a new 2016 F150 yesterday

i am investigating using the purchase of the very cool ramps that Ford has that bolt to the side of the bed.

My trepidation is that they look a little short to load my golf cart without bottoming out. My cart is lifted but I'm still not sure it will work.

Does anyone havie any real world experience using these with a lifted golf cart? atv/utv examples probably don't apply.

ThAnks in advance. I love this truck

How long are they? I have a trailer for this exact reason, I don't feel comfortable driving my atv into the bed of my truck on ramps. I see people with atvs in the back of their truck all the time so its just a matter of getting used to it i suppose.

Two different trucks and loaded objects but this may help.

When I bought my riding mower I was able to load it into the back of my 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 and it didn't scape. The ramps were only 6' long but they we up on the curb.

I don't think I'd be doing anything longer in this truck because it is only a 5.5' bed but I will tell you this, the first time is not pleasant. Pretty dang steep!

Default better ramps

Anything "Ford Factory" sounds expensive. If those are anywhere near $300 I would say these would be a better choice. I think the manufacturer is "Big Boy"

The longer the ramps the less sketchy it will be loading anything, although after a few times you'll likely be used to loading it with any ramps.

Thanks all. I ended up going with 10' Big Boys. I have used them in the past. The reason why I chose these ramps is because I store them under the golf cart when its loaded in the bed. I really wanted to make the factory ramps work but I felt like I would probably scratch the paint a lot pulling them in and out of their mounts over the side of the bed.

I think you made the right choice and likely saved a good chunk of money going aftermarket instead of Ford.
