Ford to drop Microsoft from SYNC

I will admit that since I flashed the sync in both my wife and I truck's it does actually work as promised, before if I tried to answer a message it would send it right back to me instead of the person it needed to go to and now it directs the message properly, but the bitch is still hard of hearing.

You want Apple telling you when and where you can drive your truck? I'm not impressed with the fact that QNX is owned by the same folks that manage BlackBerry. We all know that BB has falling drastically behind the other mobile designers and now they're grasping at the straw to play catch-up. Will they let this happen to Ford now? Hmmm, I wonder which mobile designer could actually make this work...
I'll take stable OS and apps any day! I plaid the android game for years and the only version that was good was the OG vanilla version in the OG Moto Droid! That was at least an aluminum piece of phone that felt solid and not a crappy plastic phone like most android phones.
It will be a good move, it's seems sync has been buggy since it came out.

But you want your truck to crash and reboot randomly and have crazy amounts of bloatware scrolling across your screen? I'll take stable OS and apps any day! Here's a crazy idea,, How about getting what you paid for..I don't mind Sync if it actually would work as advertised. I think the set up is easy but if you got to always master rest, or re-pair phone, or voice command cant do what you ask for or system gets confused then it is not a pleasure to own,,there are enough frustrations on the road on the outside I don't need the same aggravation on the inside..My advice is instead of jumping ship how about just improve the current sync to perfection,

I loved my sync in my 2 year old f150. Have bought 2 new 2013's in the last 6 months, 1 of which I drive 14 hours a day for 9'days in a row, every 2 weeks. For work, I am on my phone through sync roughly 6 hours a day, and my truck constantly drops my connection, and have to reboot at least twice a day, or sync won't pick up my phones Bluetooth signal. Sync is junk. Hopefully they get it figured out!!!!

I would bet most peoples issues with Sync are user error and not the system. I liked it on my 2010 and have no issues on my 2013.....I can only compare it to the 2013 Subaru system which is garbage....and even after the AHA upgrade it is still worthless.
