I think once you **** off the finance guy by not wanting anything he sells, he hammers you with an arbitrary high finance charge to get you back and make something. I had a much higher FICO than yours and my guy hammered me. Immediately re-financed with CU and lowered big time.

Ended up getting $28500 out the door in Georgia, which you pay all the tax upfront. (2017 f-150 XL super cab with STX pkg, synch 3)
Holy Smokes!! 9%. Even 7% these days is crap.

I got stuck with a 5% which i was told was gonna be a 0% incentive by the sales guy at the time and that was with a 840 credit rating.
Trusted the sales guy and signed the papers without looking carefully.
My bad and will never happen again.

Too late for me but for any of you future buyers, my advice is to look at those papers carefully before signing and question everything.

At around $12k owed now and will pay the dam thing off when it hits 10k.
Then it'll be another monkey off my back.

i got 4.9% with ford credit, i was told that was the lowest "non-promotional" rate ford offers.

I too went with the Ford financing in order to get the rebate. The rate I got was 4.%. When we were reviewing the numbers with the finance guy, he told me that I should make at least 3 payments before refinancing because that would allow him to get his commission. I just nodded to him and then of course refinanced after making one payment. About 2 weeks after completing the Credit Union refinance, I received a letter from Ford stating that the loan had been paid off.

I just did this. Got a bad rate from ford credit and refinanced with usaa. Couldn’t be happier. Haven’t even made a payment yet.

When I sold cars, the financing end was already done before the customer ever met with the F & I person, so they couldn't jack up the rate if the customer didn't want extended warranty or glass coat or whatever.

My last two trucks have been financed with Ford for 5% to 6%, the dealer asks me to make three payments. I actually called Ford and asked about the three month rule, they stated that there is not penalty or issue to either me or the dealer if refinanced immediately. Additionally, when my most recent loan paid off I called Ford and stated that if they offered a decent rate that I would be more than happy to stay with them.

I just wanted to update everyone that ford credit applied the balance to my loan completely, and it’s showing a $0 balance. It only took them 5 business days. The whole process only took about 10 minutes of my time.
