Default Ford 0% financing fine print?

Got a dumb question here: The fine print for the current 0% financing offer reads

"Not all buyers will qualify for Ford Credit financing. 0% APR financing for 60 months at $16.67 per month per $1,000 financed regardless of down payment."

What does the "at $16.67 per month per $1,000 financed regardless of down payment." mean?

Is this a fee?

That is your payment. $16.67 for every $1000 financed.

So if you finance $30,000, you take $16.67 x 30 for a payment of $509.10 for 60 months.

Ok. Duh! Thanks for that! I'm the type of person that thinks there is always a catch!

The catch is at the beginning "Not all buyers will qualify for Ford Credit financing". Nothing to worry about if you have good credit.

Good credit the the caveat. I don't know where the good credit number starts at though.

To put it in English, take $1,000 and divide by 60 months and you get $16.67.

Fine print usually includes factory rebates are not allowed with the financing. If you have good credit anyways, odds are you can get a low interest loan from your bank and save money with the rebates

Agreed. I always take the rebates. Refinance with your bank or a credit union.
