Flex Brake Hose

I have a 2015 F150 and I recently had a leak in front right brake hose. Came on sudden after coming back to truck after lunch. Not sure if someone would have a reason or chance to cut my line without being spotted. So I am assuming manufacturing defect? There are no signs of bulging or sign it got hit by road debris.

What do y’all think? Trying to figure if this is normal. I’m close to switching out to stainless braided lines.

Think i see a definite crack in the hose but from the pic it looks like that brake line probably just failed.
I'd replace it and call it a day. Might want to check the others also.

Doesn't make sense how it fails after just 3 years with no signs of wear. I would be inclined to say that it was premature failure. Would have been nice if I could get Ford to pay for this and to replace the rest of them.

Could be a manufacturing defect in that one line.
But i agree, i've had flex brake lines last for decades on my older vehicles.

Unless the truck is still under the bumper to bumper warranty, you're probably on your own.
Anyhow, good excuse to replace them all with hi psi braided lines like you mentioned.
