Is this a truck someone else ordered, or are you going to order one? Yes, you can look in a 2-300 mile area if you want, but if you're any kind of particular, like me, you likely won't find "THE" truck. My last two 150's were bought off the lot, neither one was exactly what I wanted. This last time around, I ordered exactly what I wanted and the truck is much more to my liking. Off the lot trucks are usually what the masses would buy, not necessarily you.
Get what you want, then negotiate. If you can get anything like X, Z plan, there isn't much better a deal. I know, I know, no matter who you talk to, your neighbor, your friend, your wifes long lost uncles cousin, they always do better. Just blow them off, do what you are happy with. Good luck.

I tend to find Edmunds TMV bottom line is pretty much spot on for where my new car purchases end up. I typically come in a bit below, give them a little room to negotiate me up. If I have a trade my routine last couple times around has been to compare their offer to a purchase offer from Carmax and simply sell to Carmax if they come in high enough erase the sales tax advantage of trading. I know what rate I can get through my credit union and it's up to the dealer to match it or not get my finance business. They've been able to match my outside financing every time I've bought cars. It doesn't have to be a hard process. Some people just overanalyze and outsmart themselves trying to beat the dealer on every aspect of the transaction rather than simply seek out terms they consider fair and walk away if they can't get them.

I'll be heading to the dealer soon.
What advice would you give a newbie like me? Any tips and tricks?
What are the things to watch out for? Do I have any room to negotiate (I assume I won't)?
Purchasing a new custom ordered '23 SuperCrew 2.7 Ecoboost.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Or do we not get to read a Post #2 from you?
What they said ,I got sucked in on extended warranty ,I thought I was getting ford warranty but no it was some aftermarket crap I guess they make more money selling
I never buy stuff like that but they sucked me in saying all the computer crap on these new vehicles can get expensive so they sell u 100 thousand miles coverage but I was dumb and bought it then I thought I already get 65 worth so it's really 35 thousand miles extra, o well water under the bridge now. You can always get more from Ford later if you so desire

I know its after the fact and Im not sure if I am allowed to post this company, but Lombard Ford Warranties are amazing to work with and their pricing is unbeatable. I have bought 4 of them now and no dealership or 3rd party, (personally would buy 3rd party) can beat their price. Lombard Ford Warranties, I think they make their money on volume. My 2015 F150 Plat for 8yrs, 125k miles was something like $2400? Maybe less, (maybe more) I cant recall really.
