Default Fender Flares......help!

I just put on a set of Ultra Wheels rims and they are off set a bit. I would like to get fender flares that are NOT too rugged looking. I would prefer a smooth look that will protect the paint.

I would also like them to be easy to install....

I would appreciate your recommendation and pictures.

Those things barely stick out at all. I wouldn't waste money on flares.

Just that little bit will sure spin up plenty of road grime onto that white paint, especially when it rains! Check Ebay for fender flares, you can find good deals there for a lot less than the name brand ones.

Ohh no...not road grime. I have 37/13.5 on my SD and they stick out quite a bit further. It doens't make the truck as dirty as some will have you think...

I guess you've never driven through a gravel parking lot or down a gravel/dirt road after a good rain. Without fender flares you'll have the gravel dust/dirt that has turned to mud slung all up and down the side of your truck and onto the side steps if you have them. Then try to get in and out of your truck without getting that muck on your pants or legs if you're wearing shorts. Fender flares do a great job of blocking this from happening so why you would want to discourage anyone from getting them is beyond me. I have a Sterling Gray truck so it doesn't show up real bad but it would sure show up on a white truck.

It did rain today, and yes my truck is pretty dirty.... I am located 2 hours from Detroit.

What type do you have?

Actually...until 2010 I lived in Alaska where the majority of the roads outside of the city limits are all gravel/mud, so definitely accustomed to those conditions. I am not discouraging anyone from getting flares...my point from my initial post is the tires barely stick out at all. If he decides to put flares on his truck...then IN MY OPINION...he will need some larger tires or it will not look very good.

I have bushwacker extenda-flares. They are exactly what I wanted for my old wheels, but don't need them with my Raptors. There are pics in my thread. I'm probly 3 hours south of Detroit (25 miles north of Cincy).

a set of stock flares would work well and you might be able to find them used and with matching paint
