I'd love to see a cop enforce that law, they won't enforce the use of off road lights (HID bulb in halogen housing) on the road and those are much more dangerous than someone momentarily checking the hitch.

Those trying to create friction with the b/s law that belongs right next to the law that you can't tie your horse up to the hitching post on Sunday need to slide back under the bridge , your just making un needed noise.

I'm insulted.

Interpret the statute incorrectly all you want. I hope you know how to defend yourself in court. Really, I hope you do.

In New Jersey during your vehicle state inspection any video displays viewable from the drivers seat will cause you to fail inspection.

Lets assume you have a switch some where in your truck to turn that display on, are you going to activate it when getting your inspection?

Didn't think so.

What kind of ****ty equipment do you tow that you need to watch it constantly to make sure it doesn't come off the ball? Servicing it so you aren't scared of it coming off would be a better idea.

****ty equipment? Really? You think EVERYTHING works as it supposed too? **** does happen buddy and it's NOT something you, I or anyone can control!
I for one had a trailer come off my ball. Come to find out the coupler was defective. Guess it was ****ty for a $2k trailer ehhh? Get over your cop ego self! Eat a donut and relax. There are real criminals to be had, not someone that has a "screen" in their rear view mirror

If it came off the ball then yes it was ****ty equipment. What is watching it going to do? You can watch it come off, how does that help? You can do the same thing by looking at the trailer.

The law states a video display. It doesn't have to be on.
