Default F150 what should i do?

Okay guys I have an 05 screw and it has 160000 miles on it and it been running great until about a month ago. All of a sudden it's struggling. I got it checked on the other day an I need both lower ball joints, both outer tie rods, both inner tie rods, the transmission is leaking only a small amount of transmission fluid and is starting to make a loud clunk when I go hard from 2nd gear to 3rd .

I was looking online the other day and I found a raptor with 40000 miles on it for 32000 I went and looked at it. It's in phenomenal shape and I am having a hard time thinking about having a truck payment but if I trade it in I won't have the expenses of fixing it and won't have a truck with 160000 mile on it either. I was looking for some commentary on whether or not to trade it in for the raptor or pay to have it fixed and keep driving it. Here's a picture and if I traded it in I would be putting the old wheels and tires back on it and keeping these for the raptor.

Thanks guys I'm hoping to here some good advice on what to do about it!

Depends. Is the repairs gonna cost you $32k? I do get where your coming from. I want a lower mileage truck too. But I like have low low monthly payments. Your truck looks great. Weigh the options. Is the truck payments worth the mileage and repair cost?

Your trucks bada*s! Then again so is a Raptor. Why do miles on a truck matter? Our 99 expedition has 235k and its running like new, and the interior has minimal wear, plus its paid off! I think after the "newness" wears off the raptor your going to be kicking yourself for doing it, and kicking yourself again when that monthly payment roles around. Just my .02.

If you get the raptor You know we want some pics.

A bit of front end work after 160K is not unreasonable. If the body and the rest of the truck is good I'd likely fix it and keep it. Although, the tranny clunk might be a deal breaker. If it isn't leaking too bad just top up the fluid as needed and it might stop leaking by itself. Clunk is another matter though - a buyer might not notice it now but if you leave it and it gets worse then you might have to re&re the tranny to get her sold.

Need more info on the Raptor. 09 Scab 5.4 vs an 11 Screw 6.2 would make a big difference.

Remember the early 5.4 Raptors have the same motor and power as your truck. The Raptor has some nice OEM suspension additions, but not anything you couldn't blow out of the water with a couple grand in the aftermarket.

Now, if your tranny is about to grenade, you may want to unload your truck quickly and let someone else deal with the big money repair.
