Default Clicking Noise @ front drivers side wheel area

I have an annoying clicking noise coming from my front drivers side wheel well are when I slow down, come to a stop and when I'm towing my trailer. If I rev my motor up the clicking eventually goes away. Has anyone else had or heard of this problem? I consider myself a decent mechanic but this has got me scratching my head. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Is it a 4x4? If it is, then more than likely you have a either a vacuum leak going to your actuators or the actuators themselves are leaking...

mine does this also, but mine actually might be a rock stuck in my tire as it clicks as the tire slowly rotates. SO annoying!

If it's a 4x4 it could be a dry CV joint.

Default Clicking noise

It is a 4x4 but it does it when 4wheel drive is not engaged and when I switch it to 4x4 it doesn't change anything.

I would look into how the electrical engages the 4x4 on your truck. I'm pretty sure the solenoids that engage the four wheel drive are in the transfer case behind the transmission, which would mean the front half shafts are turning all the time (live axles). This would account for the CV shaft and joint turning all the time whether it's in 4 wheel or not. Just a thought.
