It's more like 12 mpg for general driving. Regardless, sometimes you gotta pay to play.

I stopped doing my oil changes due to my back, and I don't want to deal with the mess anymore. If you are paying $110-130 to have the oil changed in an EB, man are you a sucker. Have not paid more than $30 ever to have the oil changed in one. $49.95 with tire rotation is the most I pay. I also would not want to deal with over 3 gallons of waste oil every few months.

If you price out 13 quarts of oil, it comes out to over $70+ the cost of the filter, $16 so for that price, why not have someone else do it? The Fuel filters themselves are up around $80 just for the parts, and are a royal PITA to replace. Mess up the gasket on the housing, and you are stuck until you can get a replacement from the dealer. Another case, let those who do it for a living do it. Those days for me are in the past. Turning a wrench for a living, dealing with the chemicals, the fuels, the oils, the cleaners, yep I am done with that, did it for 10 years, don't wish to go back.

Any one that has fuel economy in mind should not buy any truck period.

Most. Be careful you don't stir up the 3.5 EB guys with the max payload/max tow. Ford says 12000+.

I just went from owning nothing but half tons to a 6.7 F250. I’ll never own another half ton after owning this truck. I tow a 7,000 pound wakeboard boat, and before my half tons would get tossed around and be underpowered... now, my F250 doesn’t even sag when I book the boat up. I get anywhere from 17-25mpg. Granted, I’ve got turbo and fuel upgrades and no emissions equipment. (Also on 37x13.5s though)

Buy the diesel and don’t look back. A part of you will always wish you got the bigger truck..

I couldn’t even imagine driving a 6.2 gas F350. Would be so incredibly underpowered. And it would be like 8-9mpg

This is my thinking. The resell value on the 6.7 motors are excellent too! My only concern would be the stiff ride from an empty bed.

How are you achieving the 25mpg? I'm looking at fuelly and it shows most averaging 17ish. The 3.5's don't seem to do much better than that anyway (maybe 1-2 mpg).

The big difference is the dealer discounts...the F150's are 12k off MSRP, the F250 with a diesel is about 4-7k off MSRP (basically invoice pricing).

I'd like to get the F-250 full loaded Lariat. It's about the same price (without the discounts).

I still can't get over this. I don't think I could even get myself to attach the hitch with +10k for an 6cyl engine. They are quick though

I’m fully deleted with 800hp. I’m amazed at how good of fuel economy this gets.
