I never said i was removing any variables. The people who post results here need to post drivig style, altitude, etc. Unless we take it to some scientific lab in the middle of the desert its not going to be perfect. Let us see what happens here.

@falcon
Lets make this a little more scientific, can u please add in the OP to post weather, if it was city, highway, terrain, towig, etc. Etc.

Really?

And part of the experiment, if you read this entire thread(i doubt you did), youd see that we are posting every single variable we think of in he experiment that would change the results. I plan to do this with my old truck just to see what happens. So please, from those of us who want to see this thread work go argue in the thread i started, i will gladly argue with you there abot this.
Which to me, means, you're trying to eliminate them, as that's what you do in a scientific experiment. That's what you do in an experiment such as this...

I don't understand how people posting their driving style(which will probably subconsciously change) is going to help you remove that variable...

Unless you put these trucks in a controlled environment and run them exactly the same way via computers(removing the human and climate elements which are the main variables you will want to remove), you won't prove anything. Why waste your time/money/etc? If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right, correct?

Eclark I am in the same boat as you in thinking this is bad science, but we arent scientist so why blast there thread with ur bull s**t. I would join in but I have noticed my mpg dropped on me all of a sudden so I don't know if there is something wrong and I don't like putting in low oct gas in my v8's. Good luck to you guys hope you get the answers that you guys are trying for

Okay clark. You pay for a lab, a dyno, fuel, and travel, and room and board expenses for all of us and well come test this your way.

Now if your not willing to do that this is the next best thing. It aint perfect, but its the best we got.

I'm not the one trying to prove something via an ill fated experiment that has already been explained three million times...why should I have to foot the bill?

You want to prove this scientifically, that's what you need to do. I want to see you succeed. I want this experiment to mean something. The way you are proposing to do it, is flawed and will prove absolutely nothing.

Good luck either way but telling me to go away because you don't like what i'm saying won't make me leave. Prove me wrong, i'll change. You already agreed that the only way to make this a scientific test is on a dyno in a controlled environment. Short of that you are pissing in the wind.

Not being a scientist just means we don't get paid to do experiments. It doesn't mean we can't do them to the best of our ability.

If you don't do it right, it's just another flawed experiment to add to the list of bad information on the internet.

Give us a friggin chance to prove you wrong before you start bitching. This is so new we dont have any results yet. You can complain all you want. If you dont want to do that, help us out with some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Not everything we're doing wrong.

You can't prove anything here, no matter how many chances. Unless you want to put all your vehicles on a dyno with the EXACT SAME conditions, then none of your "scientific data" is going to mean squat. All it will be is more useless information that I will have to argue over with squishy headed morons.

He did, he already told you how to do it and actually make some good results. now who didn't read the whole thread?
