Question F150 losing the V8 option?

In the latest issue of Car and Driver they are claiming that within the next couple of model years the F150 will no longer have the option of an eight cylinder.
Has anyone heard this anywhere else?

I haven't heard that, but makes me glad I got my 16 with the 5.0 in it if this is true.

Sounds like the rumor from last year that Ford actually squashed.

Just a rumor, it won't be going anywhere soon.

Nah they'll keep the gas V8, expand on the gas V6 EB, and explore the options with a 4 cylinder diesel. Probably already working on the 5.0 gas v8 replacement though.

Maybe, maybe not.

2017 Raptor=V-6 only

2016 Expedition= V-6 only

2016 Navigator= V-6 only

Get your V-8 while you can. How many they sell will determine if they keep them.

I like the sound of a v8 and a v-twin, but if they find a way to make more power/torque and use less dinojuice i'm good with it

I truly hope it's untrue. If it is true my next truck will be a Dodge(yeah yeah I know. Ram. To me it will always be a Dodge Ram!).

Probably just the typical rumor mill churning out garbage on a daily basis. But If it turns out to be true, my next truck won't be a Ford.
