F150 clunking noise

New here, 2019 F150 XLT...nothing special, but lately when I turn or back up, there is a clunking/thumping noise under the bed...changed leaf spring and no help. If I shake the truck back and forth it will thunk, I cannot shake the truck and look for the clunk alone. Doing some research, I read that it might be the axle slipping back and forth...odd thing is, I went to a Ford dealer and shook a 2022 and it made the same noise! Anyone else have this issue?

I have a 2010 F150 XLT and don't have any issues like that. Definitely sounds like something is loose and banging back and forth. See if you can get a buddy to shake it while you are up under it to see if you can find what it is bouncing around. Probably all you can do at this point.

Yeah that's my next step, I replaced 2 of the leaf springs pads yesterday, no help...might try and replace the others. Thanks!

For anyone interested in this problem, I found the fix for my truck...maybe it will help with yours

You should tell the Ford dealer.

Changed the leaf spring pads

Just grease them

Good idea changing the pads.

Its two metal slabs, the pads are there to act as a barrier, grease will trap dirt. Just clean them up and swap the pads, super cheap.
