Nothing could be farther from the truth... can't find one anywhere in the Northeast region. Chevys and Dodge all over the place for some reason... but Ford... Only seeing a few 150s. NO 250s anywhere.

Just google "used F250 beds" I found this

https://dicksautoparts.com/c-1206601...short-bed.html

Given enough time and money anything is possible. Not always practical, but possible. Even if I could do it, I'd not be happy with the results. I'd rather covert it to a flatbed than put an F150 bed on it

Yea I had given lot of thought to that too... but man that would drastically change the look of my truck to something so much less desirable. I love the maroon color and side panels of my bed along with attached wheel flares and 35" tires im rollin on.... so flat beddin that wouldn't work for me. I guess the best option is to keep lookin for that used 250 bed. Man there hard to find! Unless I drop $3k which im not doing. I see some take off beds that people are askin 3 grand for... seems little insane.

Hmm that an idea. I'll craigslist it and see. Thats a heck of a haul for me tho from PA... buuut if there's a deal might be worth it.

Also considering just welding new bars onto what i've got. Anyone try that?

I've MIG welded them on a few times. If you want to use 1\4 inch walled, 2 x 3 tubing it could be hard depending on your experience with welding. If you can match something close to the original hat thickness it will be much easier. I never had much luck trying to repair what's there. It worked better to remove the old hats and replace the entire piece.

*What you call cross braces are referred to as hats because of how they look on end.
