F150 2016 Platinum "used"
I found a Platinum on a dealers lot with over 7000 miles on it, they had it for almost 6 months. So apparently the dealer has been using it as a demo/personal vehicle. I am thinking that I can get a pretty good deal on it if they really want to sell it after all this time. sticker has 63K, asking 54K, my offer would be around $50. Does that seem reasonable? Personally to me it is a used vehicle, titled or not. It is fully loaded with the tech package etc.

well that is my thought, that it was a "demo", however I don't know for sure. My issue is why have they not sold it in over 250 days????

heard back from the dealer, they want to sell it to me as NEW?!?!?!? Really you put over 8K miles on it and the owner of the dealership is even reluctant to sell it? I offered 50K all in...tax title and fees. we'll see where this goes!!
Am I wrong to think that this is used, just because it was not titled to a consumer?

Regarding it being new or used I think that may vary by state. We looked at a demo vehicle a yeah or so ago and it was titled as used, but we didn't even consider it because they wouldn't take much off the price.
My parents had great luck on a Demo Ford 500 back in 2005, however they got a hell of a deal on it.

As mentioned before, depending on state, if it has never been titled, it can be sold as "new" regardless of mileage.
The plus side is but I would double check on this, is that your warranty starts from the actual mileage at the in-service date. So basically you would have that 8K miles added on the backside to the standard 3/36K and 5/60K warranty.
At the end of the day, if it does not feel right, walk from it. Plenty of other deals to be had at other places.

I have a 2016 Platinum that I've had since early Aug and it now has about 7,500 miles on it (picked up with just over 300 miles). I paid $57,200 out the door.
Edit: my sticker was $64,170
Just data for you to compare. I don't think I'd pay $54,000.
Let us know how it turns out.
