ive got an 89 f-150 lariat 4x4 with a 300 six and four on the floor with od. both tanks were leaking so i just replaced the rear one. at the same time i changed the sending unit and filter. the feul line is good and connected fine. the plug is properly attached to the pump. it started and ran fine at first when i got it all back together.i went about 15 miles at a time for 60 miles. then i ran it for about 35 minutes and i had trouble. i was coming to a stop and the motor started sputtering. i pulled over and it idled horribly for a minute and eventually died. it started it it again and it idled for a while then died. i kept doing this and i finally startedand ran beautifully. i tried to make it home and after a mile it sputtered and died again. it would start and idle rough for a couple attempts until now it wont even start. i think its a venting issue. i havn't tried unscrewing the gas cap yet but wondering if anyone has any ideas other than venting.
