Default f-150 ecoboost milage

So I just got a 150 4x4 with ecoboost and I was wanting to know how many miles does it take before it starts to get closer to 23mpg. I am getting 16.5 now with 650 miles. I realize the engine is still tight, just looking for some opinions. Thanks!

Lot depends also on your gearing rations, tire size, how you drive, ect ect.

I have 3.5k miles on my 12 and getting 16.5 average and gotten 20.5 on long freeway trips with cruise set to 65.

What are these "tooners" that you speak of?!?!? 50 horses to the wheels and 108 feet of torque? That's insane in the membrane!

most people are not going to see 23 mpg. I have 11k on my truck and average 18.2 overall. On long trips I can see 20 mpg

I can get 23+ mpg all day long at 60 mph. At 65 mph, I'm at around 22-22.5. At 70 mph, I'm at 20-20.5 if I'm lucky. Anything over 70 mph, it plummets. I got a decent bump in mpg at 1000 miles and another at around 4000 after the first oil change. It's been pretty consistent since than (at 15,000 miles now).

To get the best mileage with these trucks, keep it under 70 mph, fill your tires up to 40-42 psi, and stay away from head winds.

Ditto on keeping it under 70 for mpg. The following photo was from a recent drive which crossed several 4000 foot passes. 5.0 engine, screw 4X4, about 1000 pound payload.

I babied it on the highway at 68mph with a tail wind and got 18.1. Mileage of Ecoboost is overrated but it is still a great truck

What size? Any extra unsprung weight really puts a damper on fuel economy.
