You are really considering going back to this dealer? If you don’t trust them might ought to rethink that decision.

About $80 will get you an alignment at an alignment shop.

If they also fake your alignment then you'll know it's a conspiracy or you'll know the Ford place has equipment out of calibration or you'll know your truck has issues.
Yeah, warrantied and all that good stuff, however you are unhappy so maybe it's time pay the bill and call it done. If it would make you feel better, take the spec sheet to Ford after your alignment at a shop to show them the numbers the gave you are the same, yet it handles well. That may bring to their attention that their machine is miscalibrated.

That right there would be the end of my relationship with the dealer. Take it to an independent alignment shop.

When you take it to a proper alignment shop, tell them that you are unhappy with wondering at speed and to put the caster at the upper limit.

@Targa4S
I don't believe anything was inappropriate.
What is it you need from us?
Do you want an answer of yes/no in direct response to "Can Ford set their equipment falsely on purpose to screw a customer".

You have apprehension of going back to them and won't go to a second dealership. The cost of a front end alignment is not very expensive. For principal Ford should fix this vehicle -for sanity you can just have a '2nd opinion' basically with a specialty shop that is focused on alignments.

I'll let @djfllmn chime in as to whether or not an alignment machine can intentionally be set inaccurately.

the machine itself cannot be set inaccurately unless you plug in the wrong tire size or 2wd vs 4wd.

the biggest snafu is usually not having the wheel dead straight when you do you toe adjustments

If they stated they did a test drive, and they lied, forget the quality of their machine, they can not be trusted-having a perfect machine and using it correctly requires you trusting the dealership to do so, you can not trust them. I have always gotten the best alignments for a true alignment shop, not a dealership, hope you get it done right, you'll be glad you did.

I use Tire Depot for my alignments in Bristol. Always have had great experience and fair pricing.
