Ford ESP (Protect)
As many of you might know, I been a long time promoter of the Ford ESP (now called Ford Protect), even back since 2011.
Many years ago, I worked out a promo code that F150 forum members could use to get a great deal on the Ford ESP. this was with Bob Cline at Zeigler Ford.
Flood Ford and Zeigler Ford are the two top contenders on this online ESP market.
There have literally been THOUSANDS of dollars saved by buying online.
Zeigler is currently $25 cheaper than Flood Ford using a promo code (taking $225 off their online prices).
If I convinced Bob at Zeigler to do a one day sale which would give you an additional $25 off (making it $250 off the online prices posted), how many people would perhaps be interested?
That's $250 off current online prices on zeiglerfordesp.com, and $50 off flood ford's current online prices.
Bob at Zeigler has been great over the years offering discounts to F150 forum members, an I've bought my previous ones from him as well.
what about the 13th or 14th of this month (SEP)?
enough people interested for me to ask Bob about doing this?

This months sale will be on the 13th of this month (September), and will carryover to the 14th for those who read forum posts a day later).
Fine Print: You need to order online @ www.zeiglerfordesp.com
using a credit card as payment in full.
you can *NOT* use the discount/promo code and the finance option together. Its one of the other, not both. If you use the promo code and the finance option together, your order will be rejected, and that risks others being able to get the forum discount..
For those of you waiting on arrivals on your '18, I have asked Bob at Zeigler if he will do this 'extra' promotion at least a month where everyone can take advantage of it.

In my opinion, Bob Ziegler needs to become a forum vendor, and follow the guidelines that all the other vendors have to. Posting these advertisements is no different than the Ford dealers that are selling other things like alarm systems. Recently an alarm system vendor got all his posts cleaned out because he was posting outside the vendor area.
While it's great that some Ford dealers offer special pricing to forum members, it's not right that some of them have a member post all over the forums without following the rules. Just because you don't work for Ziegler and don't get any compensation from Ziegler (which you have stated in the past), doesn't mean that this should be allowed. I've asked the moderators to review this to make sure there is a true level playing field and that all are playing by the same rules. If they say it's fine, then it's fine, but I suspect this post and others will be removed when they do a review.

Ricktwuhk. I would have somehow expected this from you and we went thru this a couple of years ago. You seem to be the only one who has issues with this.
if the mods deem people saving a few bucks on an item. They can take what actions they need and it will be respected. It's not like I'm a new member on here talking about esp. Let's see how many years have I been a member on here?

But he is the only seller of the forder esp that given forum members a substantial savings on a product that relates directly to out trucks. And it's not like he nets a big profit. Most of it He passes on to us.

I'm with Rick. There is a difference between mentioning a vendor that sells the ESP plan for cheaper in a thread and a thread where someone is heavily promoting a specific vendor that has offered a group discount for forum members.
Zeigler needs to become a vendor.

I'll just leave the f150 forum if that makes you all happy.
I thought trying to help people out a little and saving a few bucks was a good thing
guess not. It just creates controversy from a few.
mods.....just lock the threads or delete them completely if you wish.

It's about this site being fair to members and vendors alike.

There is no difference between Ziegler giving forum members a discount and companies that pay to be on the forum giving members a discount except:
- Ziegler isn't paying for the privilege
- Ziegler isn't making the posts, you are
- The posts aren't being restricted to the sections of the forum for vendors like with other vendors. If a paid vendor responds to a thread outside the vendor section and says "Hey, buy it from me and I'll give $50 off", they get their post removed and warned.
You're basically taking business from other vendors like Flood Ford unfairly, and hopefully now realize that. Let them become a vendor and play by the rules, whether you post for them or they post themselves.
