Default Emblem back-up camera has flipped image

The on-screen image from my back-up camera is flipped. (right is left, left is right). Sometimes it displays heavy lines. Truck is under an extended warranty.
I took it to the dealer and they wont diagnose it or replace it because their computer says it is not the camera that is supposed to be in my truck. Warranty wont cover. Really?
Ford installed the camera at the factory, but since they deviated on that day, on my truck, the warranty wont pay for it.
Can Ford write me a letter or call the dealer to approve this camera? I cannot believe Ford would do this intentionally, but who knows.

Are you sure the camera was OEM factory installed? How do you know they 'deviated' that day on the assembly line?
If you somehow can prove the camera was OEM from the factory (CarFAx, factory build manifest, etc), you should be covered under the Ewarranty.
Maybe try a different dealer and see what happens.

Could be the dealer you bought the truck from replaced a defective camera with some 3rd party or another OEM year or different Ford model camera?
Of if the truck was bought used, the previous owner installed it?

.
