Egr tube hitting firewall?

I think I found the problem with my exhaust, when I had him put the headers on he had to replace the EGR tube and adapter. Crawling around under the truck today I noticed that the EGR tube is basically resting against the firewall...Guess that would make my gas pedal vibrate and the floor boards. Any idea how to adjust this?

My apologies, I have a 2001 f150 crew cab xlt 4x4 with the 5.4l engine and 139" wheelbase. I will edit my signature and put it in there. I talked to the guy who did it and he said the hole in the header does sit farther back then the stock manifold. Here is a pic.

If you can't move the pipe, dent the firewall right behind it to create a gap.

That is the plan, I am going to try to use a pry bar to push the firewall in to create enough gap. If that does not work then I will have to remove the EGR tube and try going at it with a ball peen hammer.

Long pry bar but use it as a chisel, bfh and smack the hell out of it. I wouldn't pry against the pipe, you might crack it.

Right, that's what I'm trying to avoid but being that it's only a month old I might be alright

Just for an update I managed to fit a small pry bar between the tube and the firewall. I gently pried the two apart putting pressure on the fire wall until I could fit a goo 1/4" or more between the two. Managed bending the firewall enough to solve the problem.
