its fairly easy to break into vehicles without doing any damage. I get to do this a lot at work because every time you tell someone "leave the keys in the ignition" their brain stops working and they lock their keys in their car. I'm not going to explain how to do it for obvious reasons but it can be done, and it doesn't always set off the alarm. you should contact Edge if you have anything with the unit serial # on it because they may try calling and pulling the "I just bought this on craigslist and the jackass didn't unlock it" bit and try to have Edge unlock it.

someone knew what they wanted though thats for sure. did you have a tune loaded on your truck? if so your prob gonna have to bring it to ford to get a pcm reset if you go buy a new edge. edge may be able to help, but without the original ford tune and hex code, theres not much they can do.

I work for a pop a lock company as a night job . Can get into f series in about 47 seconds (I practice on my truck alot). If the doors weren't locked with the key fob the factory alarm usually doesnt go off and if it does not for long. It really sucks that they stole it and didnt even take the cord. But if the alarm was going off they were pry in a hurry. Can you hear it from where you park?
