Dafuq? Explain please.
I too have a mythical 2011 EB that has run flawless. Gets good MPG's, makes plenty of power. Never had the CAC misfire, pulled my CAC and there was about 3 drops of oil in it. IMO, the 2011 or very early 2012 is the most desirable if they have the original CAC and not the nerfed ones replaced by the TSB.

Maybe the ECO is your first turbo vehicle.
Turbo's and the component of the system do wear out and will eventually need to be replaced. Even the intercooler will degrade over time.
This will cost more in the long run then a 5.0 that does not have a turbo.
Even the big rigs and trains have to replace turbos.

Maybe if you keep it for 150k miles. But that doesn't apply to many people these days.

Yeah, everything degrades overtime!
This truck is my first turbo vehicle that I own, however I have been driving and operating turbocharged vehicles for almost 20 years.
In my experience I have known of one or two turbo failures. These vehicles are cold started, not warmed up and immediately hammered out the door. They are returned, not idled, no turbo timer, and shut down. Pretty much a hard life on all engine components, but especially tough on the turbocharger.
Its annoying that someone slaps a turbo(s) on a domestic vehicle, and then a pick up truck of all things and all of a sudden they are this weird outside the box crazy thing. Folks act like they are a bomb and could explode at ay moment, its not new tech. by any means. Additionally the folks at Full Race spoke highly of the turbos used on these vehicles, that holds water to me.
No, im not the authority on turbos, far from it. But it just gets old hearing people freak out about how the turbos are "more moving parts" or "just another thing to go wrong", blah blah...
Using the logic of things degrade over time so will the precious 5.0, or the 6.2 or any engine by any manufacturer.
The moral of the story is, take care of your stuff. Use good oil, change it regularly, be smart with any modifications and the truck will last you a long time.

Traded my 2012 XLT 5.0 for a 2014 Lairat EcoBoost.....Enjoyed the 5.0 however had the engine knock at idle. Also had a strange noise coming from the engine when decreasing speed usually around 20-25 mph. Will be towing my pontoon more this year.....Anyway Merry Christmas ....
