Ecoboost Gears?
I have a 2012 F150 3.5 Ecoboost with 3:55 gears. I am not that familiar with turbos but would it be a good decision to eventually upgrade my gears to 3:73 or 4:10? I dont haul at this time but may in the near future but i mainly just want power that can be felt? I plan on at least getting a level kit and running 33's and I have a SCT tuner on its way. I just don't want to spend the money replacing gears if its not needed?

wouldnt go from 3.55 to 3.73. The difference would be negligible. 4.10 or higher would give you what you're looking for IMO.
I personally think 3.55 and 33's +tune would be just fine especially since you have the 6spd transmission. The lower gears (higher numerically) were a more common upgrade with the 4spd transmissions.

I wouldn't waste the $$$ on changing gears. especially if you own a 4x4 because you have to change the front and rear gears and that's not cheap unless you can do it yourself. The tuner will be the biggest bang for your buck!

Sounds good everyone thanks...I'll leave the gears alone and just stick with 33's and level kit with my tuner. I may possibly go with a 6" lift and run 35's but the tuner should fix any issues there right?
