Ecoboost fuel economy
I have a 12 f150 ecoboost, not really impressed with the fuel mileage. 13.5 in town haven't had on highway but a few miles. I have only 1200 miles on it. Anyone else gettin terrible mileage with the ecoboost?

I have 7500 miles and see 21-24mpg hwy consistently. I replaced the paper air filter with a K&N until I can drop an intake in. huge diff in throttle resp and fuel economy.

I'm not really cryin about it I just want to know why it's gettin such bad fuel mileage, my 2010 5.4 got better mileage then my new 12 3.5l ecoboost. Hows that work? I know it's turbo but still, that means this little 3.5l is suckin in the fuel. I am turning 33x12.50x20. I just ordered a bully dog and a cold air so hopefully that will help out a little bit.

Ford is going to have to step up their game here pretty quick, Chevys v8 are gettin 15 to 16 in town and 20 to 21 highway, of course Chevys don't have the power that ford does. But as you can tell these days it's about what how much a truck can pull and get the best mileage. This day and time it's all about mileage, 10 years ago it was about how much power and torque you had. The government lays down the rules for mileage that ford dodge Chevy have to abide by. Ford has always been behind the curve in economy, always ahead in power and torque.

Retired and loving it!
The EB is EXTREMELY sensitive to any throttle application when it comes to the mpg.....just touching the throttle in any way drops the mpg gauge down to nothing.....now, at cruise, the EB is very economical....I can't help but think (given my experiences riding with other drivers) that "some of" those here complaining about poor mpg on the EB are the ones who are always on/off, on/off, on/off the throttle drivers, or those who brake at the last possible second when approaching a red light....folks, you can coast for a block or longer when you see the light ahead turn red, and if you are still moving when it turns green....BONUS!
