Default EcoBoost Engine Shudder

I recently bought a 2014 FX4 with the Ecoboost.

I put an aFe Magnum Force Stage 2 Pro 5R Air Intake on it. Also, I had a Bully Dog tuner installed.

I was driving through a pretty heavy rain storm and pulled off the road for a break. When coming back on the road, I accelerated hard and the truck lost all power.

It was like it was stuck in 6th gear and would just putter along. The engine light did come on, but then went off and the truck resumed normal driving ability.

I have read that the intercooler or CAC has caused condensation issues with earlier models, but has since been fixed.

I love all things mechanical but am not very familiar with any of the components or their full function when it comes to vehicles.

I'm wondering if the new air intake or tuner would cause this issue? Maybe too much air for the new intercooler?

I did run a diagnostic on the tuner and it had only 1 error, "Misfire on Cylinder 6". I contacted Bully Dog and they informed me that it may have been a false error from the installation that was never cleared.

It has since been dry outside and the truck has not given me any more issues, but it still makes me nervous as winter is coming.

Any help/suggestions/insight would be greately appreciated.

Thanks

A 2014 truck, with a tune = NO Warranty from Ford. Good luck!

Default A stock truck would do the same

The cooler collects moisture then you hammer on it the water goes into the engine. Stumbles until it clears or you back off

Ditch the cold air intake and go back to the stock air filter for starters. All sorts of info about it on here but try to find the video from the former Ford technician about why they are bad.

it was your traction control that cut the power. if you gun it, change lanes it kicks on momentary then you get power again.

How is this in any way a constructive response to the OP's question? I'm sure he is aware of the risks associated with tuning a new truck so why state the obvious especially without any other advice or knowledge of the issue to add to the conversation?

I realize this post also adds nothing to the OP's question.....
