I work in oil patch up North Alberta and my 2015 2.7 Ecoboost Shutdown while driving back to hotel 4am in the morning. I was driving on gravel road with not more than 20 m/hr (30km) it was very fogy could hardly see ahead and engine died, I would restart it without any issue but after few meters would die again. This happened few times and I was able to get to highway (drove 5 km like that). There was message on screen to "Check Manual". from highway it kept running for next 25 km till i reached hotel. Called in Ford roadside assistance and they towed it to closest dealer and they still have to look into it. While towing I noticed that the message was gone but I was too scared to drive it in forest again. I had filled up Gas the night earlier but had drove over 20 miles to work, it rained a lot that night and temp dropped to 47F (8 degree C) and was foggy. Anyone had any issue or know of something like that? truck have 31k miles (51K KM) and is under warranty. previously drove 2011 FX4 5.0 for years without any problem.
