Ha! I moved back in for about six months because I got a job in the area they lived, and I felt like saving some money. Daddy doesnt float my boat... Never has. But you should ask my bank account how it feels after these last 6 months... But, now I'm back on my own again, because i now have a different better job in a different area.

Had a member here tell me my A/T tires were really all-season road tires.

wait. what?
I had some ornery old ****er at a car show blow up on me for having installed tow mirrors on a half ton. I didn't bother telling him how stupid he was but I'm guessing he was still stuck in the 90s when his half ton Chevy was rated to tow 4000 lbs. but I did correct him and point out that they were stock, and not something I had installed, and he said, "yeah stock on what? a dump truck?"
being a Ford service advisor, when someone would approach me with a newer F150 I'd often ask them what engine was in it, depending on the issue they were having. probably 75% of the 5.0L owners would reply with something like "the only engine that belongs in a truck, a V8. I don't care what they say you can't tow with a V6."
usually I just let it go but got fairly annoyed with one customer in particular who said "only a homosexual would buy a V6 truck" but with much more crude wording, in front of a room full of people.

I ordered my '11 Lariat with the 6.2, so a few weeks later I ordered and installed a set of 6.2 badges for a Raptor and put them where they should be. I then got a set of V8 badges for an '02 Explorer and put one on the right side of the tailgate at the same level as the F150 badge on the left. After that, for about a year or so, the question I got most was "Is that really a 6.2?". Or "I thought only that Raptor has it?". One guy even said "Only" the Raptor had the 6.2 in it, and I was lieing. Usually I just got a stupid look when I said I special ordered the truck with it. And it never fails, some guy, usually in a Dodge, pulls next to while I'm driving and motions me to run him. I've toasted too many to even bother anymore. Now, I just Blow them a Kiss, Lol.....

These are hilarious!
I haven't had many comments on my truck, except for the usual snide comments about the aluminum body. I did have a Chevy owner pull up to me one day as I was detailing my truck. He said "that poor truck, it has the wrong emblem on the grille. You're missing the bowtie"... I just gave him a quick laugh and kept on detailing.

Haha yeah... correct me if I'm wrong because I honestly know nothing about this, but I heard Ford took a loan from the government before the bail out, and that they still haven't paid it back? Or did they and have paid it back? Or is that hooey all together?
