Maybe Honda MFG pumps testosterone into the HVAC to help their male drives feel more manly. A side affect is the urge to race cars with 3X the horsepower.

I'll have to ask my softball buddies as most of them build the Civic in Indiana.

I think it's something to do with the fart cannons that they feel impelled to buy that cost more than the car itself. But that's just me.

Civics try to race me all the time because I have a Harley and they automatically say when they loose it's cause I'm running a supercharger but mine didn't come with a supercharger

I live in central BC Canada, you just don't simply get around in 2WD in the winter, I need 4WD. Also, the launches.... good Lord.
Haha I want to lower mine too, everyone here in southern BC has lifted trucks they all look the same and as an older truck enthusiast I don't want to be climbing into my truck any more. Besides been there done that in my younger years. So I get people telling me 4wd is supposed to go up not down! My response? Then maybe I should lift my awd Escape too?

Default Side hooks

Someone here said something like OMG like I had just destroyed my truck.

I have used these cleats in my business hauling furniture several times over the last couple/three years. I have had to cinch the line tighter than I initially intended to with absolutely no ill effects. I have also seen several expensive stake hole cleats that end up looking distorted and just plain bad if they get used because these stake pockets are ONLY designed for stakes. All the support is way at the bottom.

These Boat style cleats have been great.

That actually doesn't look bad at all, if I can find some I might do that with mine.

+1

That's a great idea as sometimes the bed hooks are not easy to tie on to ifind you have a full bed.

Oh, you meant an F150 Tremor...
The worst question I get is "why is the license plate offset?" (2013 Eco)
My aunt even said "I didn't know you could get a pickup with a regular (2-door) cab anymore.
Some random person even said "You can get twin turbos on a pickup?"

As for idiots trying to race, I had someone in a Nissan Titan try it at a traffic light in the pouring rain. He was in a turn lane trying to go straight. That was pathetically easy.

"You're going to be sorry you bought that little turbocharged V6. It'll never last. It'll blow up for sure if you try to tow anything with it."

Four years and 98k miles later.

Same here, I had a guy tell me if you are going to buy a 2wd you might as well have bought a car. I drive 70 miles a day so that 1mpg better makes a difference.
Also in MI you can buy a 2wd for 1/2 the price of a 4x4 on the used market.

I had a Chevy guy ask me why I bought a Ford I said I don't know then he said they are to hard to work on.

I had a buddy tell me I paid to much for my truck because it is 2wd. He then told me he bought his rusty f350 for half the price and how he got a better deal. His truck was a plow truck/ salt truck.
