Drove a 2.7 EB, 5.0V8, and 3.5 EB last night. Here are my impressions:

Ive owned a 2016 f150 with 2.7 and now a 2018 f150 with 3.5l. I liked my 2.7 alot, plenty of torque off the line and 21 mpg for the 34,000 miles i owned it. That said, i have about 1000 miles on my new 3.5 10 speed and this thing is the real deal. Just as torquey, but feels more stable. I know 1 thing, in either truck if im lined up with a silverado or ram they dont have a chance off the line. And that is a good feeling

From the three girls he picked two...now he's gonna "sleep" with each one to see who he's gonna marry!

2.7 Ecoboost
- Had a very disconcerting 'surge and lunge' jerky sort of throttle response. A very unsettled, irrational, twitchy' throttle experience.
- Felt very uncivilized.... not in a racy sort of way.... but more in an undecided/bi-polar sort of way. Seemed to have a hard time deciding if it wanted to coast or surge.
- 10 speed mated transmission displayed a very questionable, loud 'CLUNK' when it was shifting between low gears. Imagine dropping a metal 10 lb barbell weight onto a cement floor from waist level. Yeah..... sounded pretty scary.
Thanks for the post.

I tell each dealer that I don't care 'where' I buy the vehicle.... I am looking for whoever has my best interests in mind, and whoever is the most competitively priced. I am not going to kick one guy out for being a couple hundred dollars more if they were one of the dealers that worked hard to earn my business.... that would not be fair. But, if any of them are way out of line, then that's their problem.

Here I am trying to sell things on Facebook and have all kinds of people waste my time! :P

I *may* consider replacing my 16 POS with an 18 Plat, and the ones I am finding are all with the 5.0, but you know what, I really could care less. My last few have all been 3.5, and you never know, a change of engine might be refreshing. I know that I am not enjoying my current 3.5 like I did my last one, it is a downright dog.
Now if I were to order one, it would be RWD with 3.15 gear and a 3.5 and that thing would be a BEAST! I loved my 14 like that!
There are plenty here who agree that the Ford engines are the best on the market today, only the few morons who like nothing but to stir crap make threads like these go haywire.
