Great, all my neutral coasting is killing my mileage. That's the whole reason I got a stick.

I just traded in a 2001 with over 178K miles and everything is original except the alternator, TPS and two coil overs. That truck currently shifts smoother and better than this brand new 2014.

Who said any thing about braking, I'm coasting to a stop, not braking.

Better question, what will happen if you shift from reverse to drive at highway speed?

It's not just GMs. If you actually shift an auto like a manual ALL the time, you'll F it up. But I agree that GM makes **** trannies.

You shouldn't use it all the time, no, absolutely not. But use it to lock it out of OD, or to downshift for a hill every once in a while, perfect.

I've refrained from being all "That's just retarded" like everyone else, but I'm (not) sorry for this: Shifting without using the clutch is F***********G retarded.
