They do have projector HID's.

I think Dodge came out with them first. Oh well.

No, that would be GM back in 2003 in their Escalade EXT

I saw a new Ram with their projector headlights and they looked like some ebay special aftermarket junk. The F-150 hid headlights look MUCH better.

escalade is a truck. any vehicle with a hatch back is classified as a truck.

here is the 2013 ram HID

Yes, I am pretty sure the new dodge has led lamps that are made to look like hid's.

I think they all copy one another in one way or another. When I was looking at the front dash on the new concept "Atlas" I thought the front dash layout looked rather Rammish. Just my opinion.

My understanding is that halogen headlamps are standard on the Ram trucks. Depending on the model the halogen lights comes with projector housings. On some models you can option up to xenon/hid Smartbeam headlights. Haven't found out for sure on the trucks but on the Jeep and Chrysler cars the Smartbeam system is a 5 stage auto dimming system that is quite impressive. It is more than simply an auto hi-lo system. Chrysler cars first came out with the Smartbeam system in Jan 2006 on 300C Heritage editions like the one I drive. On some model of 2013 Rams LED tail lights and interior LEDs are standard. Some of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokees will be Chrysler's first use of LED headlights. I believe the first time Chrysler used xenon headlights was mid 2002 on the 300M Special. As too who was first I don't know but the car companys all work with the same few suppliers anyway.

Having owned a late model Ram, anything would be an improvement. The Dodge halogen headlights are so dim one can drive with the high-beams on and not get flashed.
