+10, though I would never buy one cause the interiors arent near as good as the fords, on the plus side they are about 10K cheaper than a ford fully loaded. Ford is way better interior and way better options though.

Cat doesn't make over the road engines any more so I don't think that would work. The engines for the CT660 is a joint build between Cat and Navistar. We will see how they work. We are expecting them in sept-oct but we already have one sold. The C7 isn't great but alot of the other engines are pretty good.

Cat and navistar yeah great joining. Navistar didnt screw ford enough now they want part of cat. Good luck cat i used to love those yellow engines now they will be broke down all over and cat will be stuck paying the warranty claims.
6.7 Ford FTW sorry had to get that in there!

Zap. You get what you pay for. A better overall truck ( in my opinion) is gonna cost more. That being ford. See i am a mechanic for ford i get to see all the support owners get and help warranty wise they get. FORD is very generous especially if you have a long history with them.

I think that is only part of it. Oh and in the diesel world, GM's are actually the most expensive. Anyone is generous when you've had that brand for awhile. You get even better deals when it's a dealership that your entire family has bought from whether it be their Dodge locations, GM locations of Ford location. Also look at the resale values. Gm and ford depreciate at the same rate, dodges depreciate slower, making them the more valuable and more sought after trucks. Most used Cummins diesels will run you about $30k for a 4 or 5 year old truck with under 100k miles on it. Most GM and Fords will run you $21k for the same age and mileage. Just because a truck cost more doesn't mean it is better quality when it comes to performance and reliability. Sometimes it's the simple things that go the longest distance.

I will agree with most of what you said except i dont care about depreciation values. I know dodge auto transmission and suspension are HORRIBLE. The truck at 45,000 literally falls apart. Now they do have nice gas engines and a incredible partnership with cummins. I am still true blue though.
P.s. Not saying i dont care like monetary wise but as in i know what im getting for my money wise. I would rather have a dodge than a chevy though. I HATE chevrolet and i dunno why. Just never been a fan. I would rock the hell out of a 12v cummins in a dodge though just not a automatic and have lots of suspension parts available.

New, the Dodges have much better standard warranties, as do the GMs. Personally, I can deal with auto tranny (I don't like autos to begin with and think people need to get off their lazy a**** and learn how to drive a real truck with a clutch if they don't know how) when it's warrantied up to 100k miles and I didn't have to pay extra for that. I've had a bunch of problems with Fords in the past but every issue with GM or Dodge has been warrantied, the Fords haven't. That's my experiences but it gives explanations o why I see things the way I do.

Dodge+Ford = always ready
i wana know where your finding 4-5 year old fords with less then 100k miles for only 21k area around here its only 21k if somthing is wrong. expect to pay closer to 30k for ford, 40k for a dodge. even though i know where i live is a **** hole for buying vehicles from dealers.
