5.5 is plenty for a double dog box and a bunch of decoys....love mine.

A 5.5' bed was all I needed and I wanted the truck to fit in the garage.

My dealer had no 6.5 foot beds in Race Red. Only four they had on the lot was the Short bed. I think the short bed is fine. I can still load the riding mower , and or the quad in the bed, along with a few tool boxes. It does suck trying to find a cap at at decent price for a short bed. You would think that since the bed is a foot shorter that you would pay less.

I have yet to find this true in MD..

5.5 for me. I don't need the extra foot and I think the short bed looks better

The only drawback I've had with the 6.5' bed is the long wheel base and the creek crossing on my property.

My dealer only had 1 5.5ft Screw on the lot. They tried to get me to take a 6.5 but I made them get me the short box. I like the looks much better and don't need the longer box. Plus with a 6.5ft bed I wouldn't even get my garage door closed.

5.5ft here, i have another truck with a 8' bed and a few trailers so if it doesn't fit in one it will fit in another.
